Today I would like to talk about promoting your blog. It takes time to create you first SEO niche blog, and make it search engine friendly, but to tell the truth: it is actually a silly idea to wait for Google to find your niche blog and trust it enough to include in the search results. In order to appear in search results it is not enough to make your site search engine friendly, but you have to show the Spiders that your site is trusted and generates an increasing amount of traffic each day.
Register with directories
To promote your blog, and start receiving traffic the first thing you have to do is registering with blog directories. You have to do it manually for the best traffic generation results, as the categories differ at each and every directory and you must make sure that your listing is in the most appropriate category. I have a list of these high PR directories, that will – if your site is relevant – include your link in days and even if your blog doesn’t come up on page one, you have a chance to be included piggybacking the directory’s page rank. Also please check if the blog is “dofollow” or “nofollow”, as “nofollow” sites might send you traffic but will not create backlinks.
Other blogs’ trafficYou also can visit other blogs, that are relevant to yours and review them, comment on them. Remember: commenting on a blog to get backlinks does not equal spamming sites, your comment has to be helpful, relevant and catchy.
